Marilyn J. Mitchell, 78, formerly of Gas City, IN died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. Marilyn had recently resided at Heritage Point in Warren, IN.

Born on October 16, 1937 in Fowlerton, Indiana, daughter of the late Alvin Ford and Madeline Mitchener Ford . She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1955. Marilyn worked in the office at Midwest Food Packers in Fowlerton for 28 years. She married Jerry Mitchell on December 21 1975. Jerry preceded her in death on March 25, 2003. Marilyn attended Grace Community Church.

Marilyn is survived by three daughters:Jan Gerstorff, Gas City, Kammy (Chris) Dilts, Jonesboro, and Michelle "Shelly" (Stan) Tenbusch, Marion.

Two step-Daughters; Lynn Gosser, Gas City, and Ellen (Rob) McCClain, Upland. Two step-sons; Mike (Becky) Mitchelle, Warsaw and Patrick (Carmen) Mitchell, Marion, IN

Two Brothers; Mike and Fred Ford both of Fowlerton.

15 Grand Children and 16 Great-Grandchildren

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Where the funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 3PM with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial and graveside service will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
