Joseph H. Boston Died Last Wednesday
Joseph Hickman Boston, 80, died Wednesday morning at 3:20 in his home, 717 South Washington. Mr. Boston was born in Carthage March 19, 1870, a son of William H. and Nancy Elizabeth Bryant Boston. His wife, Mrs. Ida Yetter Boston, preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dena Boyles of Canton, Mo. and Mrs. Orpha Montgomery of Carthage; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Burns and Mrs. Clark Davis of Carthage, and three brothers, Marvin of Carthage, Charles of Keokuk, Ia., and Ray of Niota. The funeral was held at the Elms, Friday, June 23 at 2 o'clock with Rev. Robert B. Clark officiating. Mrs. Vernon Webster and Mrs. Leonard Miller was in charge of the music. Pall bearers were: Glen Coburn, Ted Hardy, Edward B. Hackett, J. Arthur Baird, Arlo Kunkel and Fred Wright. Interment was in Moss Ridge cemetery.
