Clarabelle was born in Bowling Green on July 15, 1923, to the late Levi Ray and Effie May (Willison) Pence. She married Boyd Coe in 1946, and they later divorced and Boyd remarried and preceded her in death on May 29, 2004. Clarabelle married Everett Glass in 1969 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1981.
Clarabelle graduated from Liberty High School in Rudolph, OH, on May 21, 1941. After graduation, Clarabelle and a very good friend, Bernice Patrick from Findlay, OH, were in Evangelistic services for some time after graduating high school. Clarabelle not only had a full time job raising her six children, she also worked for Daybrook and was manager for the Lords Dress shop for over three years, her career included being a bookkeeper for Bargain City for over three years. Clarabelle later retired from Randy Coe’s Auto Shop on April 3, 1998.
During Clarabelle and Boyd’s union of marriage, six children were born: Bobby (Becky) Coe of Dallas, TX; Nancy (Larry) Lewis of Mountain Home, ID; Bill (Denise) Coe of Kalamazoo, MI; Dan (Faye) Coe of Gibsonburg, OH; Randy (Kathy) Coe of Bradenton, FL, and Patti (Mike) Roberts of Pemberville, OH.
Clarabelle’s family was her joy. Along with her six children, she is also survived by 24 grandchildren and their companions, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of many loving nieces, nephews and lifetime friends.
Along with her parents: Levi and Effie, her first husband Boyd and second husband Everett, Clarabelle was preceded in death by seven brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter. Clarabelle spent most of her 92 years of life in Wood County. She attended Dayspring Assembly of God, Word of Truth Christian Center, House of Prayer and Faith Temple.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Clarabelle’s honor may be given to any of the above churches.
Visitation for Clarabelle will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street, P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, OH 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. A Celebration of Life Service for Clarabelle will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 2:00 PM with an hour of visitation prior to her Funeral Service in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery.
