Wedding Bells.
A- Acheson-Gray—Scott.
A wedding that created a good deal of interest was that which took place on Wednesday between Mr Arthur Acheson-Gray, a popular resident of Ashhurst, and Miss Emily Jane Scott, second daughter of Mr David Scott, of 'Willow Bank," Parawanui, a widely known and highly respected colonist. The marriage was celebrated at St. Jude!s Church, Rongotea, the officiating minister being the Rev. H. F. Wilson. The bridey who looked very handsome, was given away by her father, and Mr Philpotts of Pohangina, was best man. The bridesmaids were Miss D. Higgie (cousin,of the bride), Miss Scott (sister of the bride), Joyce and Inell McKelvie arid Dulce Fitzherbert (nieces of the bride). The maids, who were all prettily costumed and wore presents* from the bridegroom, formed quite a charming picture. The reception was held at Pukemarama, the handsome residence of Mr James McKelvie, brother-in-law of the bride. , The wedding breakfast was laid in the large billiard-room and various toasts were honoured amidst a good deal of enthusiasm.
