Pauline Weeks, of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at the age of 94. She was born to Reba (Martin) and Malcolm Thomason in Brownfield, Texas, on Nov. 18, 1921.

Pauline graduated from Brownfield High School. In 1940 she moved to Abilene and attended Parson's Beauty school. It was in Abilene that she met the love of her life, Bill Weeks, who was stationed at Camp Barkley. They were married on Nov. 7, 1942. They moved to Lubbock in 1945 and have been residents ever since.

Pauline enjoyed caring for her family more than anything else. She also shared 14 years of her life working at the Maedgen Elementary School cafeteria. One of her many enjoyments was volunteering her time as a Pink Lady at Methodist Hospital for over 10 years.

She deeply loved her family and friends. Pauline is survived by her son, Mike (Pam) Weeks and daughter, Donna (Don) Jones, of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Kraus, Drew Jones and Kim (Hans) Schoppa, all of the Dallas area; and five great-grandsons, Will, Ethan, Adam, Caleb and Asher. She is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bill on Sept. 23, 2000; and all of her siblings.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
