Muriel Elaine Baker Fryer, 89, longtime resident of Decherd, TN slipped peacefully from earth to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, TN. 
Muriel was born on February 12, 1927 to Charlie and Thelma Baker of Burleson, TN in Tipton County. She lived with a passion of spending time with her family and loved ones and was an avid gardener and loved nature, birds and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Estill Springs. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Thelma Baker; two brothers, Ray Baker of Covington and W. E. Baker of Memphis; one sister, Patricia Clower of Covington. 
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Chief Master Sgt Charles E. Fryer; one daughter, Cheryl Taylor of Decherd; two sons, Gary L. Fryer of Atlanta and Michael C. Fryer (Tammie) of Lynchburg, TN and a special friend, Roger Lucas of Atlanta. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews; four sister-in-laws and three brother-in-laws. 
A funeral service to commemorate her wonderful life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with minister, Rev. John Segree officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 22, 2016 from 4 to 8pm at the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Franklin Memorial Gardens. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home
