George E. Dunlap of Elk River died early this morning in a local hospital. He was born September 8, 1893 in Iowa. He had lived in this area for the past 33 years. He had worked with the Split Redwood Products and was also a truck driver.

He is survived survived by his wife, Gladys; a son, Albert Dunlap of Elk River; two daughters, Kathy Dunlap of Elk River; Mrs. Vernita Moorehouse of Gold Beach, Oregon; step-children: Joyce Cussins of Hoopa; Dorlene Emerson of Eureka; Marilyn Hughes of El Cerrito; Jerry DeHaven of Elk River; Billie DeHaven of Elk River; three brothers, Merle Dunlap of Ashland, Oregon; Miles Dunlap of Snata Rosa; Howard Dunlap of Smith River; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Fowler of Burns, Oregon; Mrs. Mildred Dutton of Porterville; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Pierce Mortuary. The Rev. Bert P. Weeks will officiate. Pallbearers will be Donald Turner, John Hardin, Harry Hardin, Peter Murray, and Jess Butterfield. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
