Lottie Jane Grote, 90, of Oshkosh died at Hillhaven Medical & Rehab, Friday, May 17, 1996.

She was born in Waukesha, April 18, 1906, a daughter of William and Mary Wilcox Babcock. On Dec. 12, 1922 she married Harold J. Grote in Mauston, WI. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1985.

Lottie had been employed as office manager of Kings Laundry and with her husband, owned and operated Harold's Furniture & Appliance Store. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Survivors include brothers, Wallace (Caroline) Babcock; William (Elaine) Babcock; sisters Loretta Balduc; Josephine Leftwich; and Eleanor Enderle. She was preceded in death by one daughter Virginia Mary Grote; one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held in Martin Luther Lutheran Church on Monday May 20 at 2:00 pm, the Revs. Daniel Habeck and Jeffrey Berg officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from Noon until the time of services. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
