Mr. Joe T. Brooks, Sr., 99, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at Florence Hand Home.
Mr. Brooks was born in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late Daniel N. Brooks and Evie Denham Brooks. He was employed with Callaway
Mills and later with Milliken and Company before retiring. Mr. Brooks was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in WWII. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Fuller Brooks, son, Joe T. Brooks Jr., and a granddaughter, Angela McCullough.
Survivors include his daughter, Ruth (Danny) Butler; son, Danny (Judy) Brooks; daughter-in-law, Paulette Brooks; 11 grandchildren; 20 great
grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Parker and Gladys Bareld.
A private memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020 in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
