Abigail Cobb(2d) was born on 14 JUNE 1764 in Abington, Plymouth, MA., daughter of Edward Cob aka COBB and Abigail Shaw. Her father Edward Cob aka COBB was born 02 AUG 1732 in Abington, Plymouth, MA., son of John Cob and Sarah Cob. Her father was a Captain in the Revolutionary War in MA; her father died 09 AUG 1797 in Abington, Plymouth, MA. Her mother was Abigail Shaw, born 27 DEC 1731 in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., MA., daughter of Joseph and Mary Shaw.

"On 11 FEB 1781 Abigail Cobb(2d), of Norton, MA, married Mr. Joseph Gannett of Stoughanton in Sharon, Norfolk Co., MA.

Abigail Cobb Gannett died 26 JAN 1804 in Sharon, Norfolk County, MA. [Town and Vital Records of Sharon, Norfolk County, MA); "Abigail Gannett, wife of Joseph Gannett, died January 26, 1804, in the 43rd year of her age."

Abigail Cobb and Joseph Gannett were the parents of the following children, all born in Sharon, Norfolk County, MA:
1. Johnathan (sic) Gannett born 19 July 1782;
2. Anna Gannett born 06 MAR 1784;
3. Bradish Gannett born 17 NOV 1785;
4. Huldah Gannett born 16 May 1790;
5. Lucy Gannett born 27 Jan 1792;
6. Nelly Gannett born 26 DEC 1794;
7. Betsey Gannett born 28 Jan 1796;
8. Ruth Gannett born 17 MAR 1798;
9. Polly Gannett born 28 JAN 1800; and
10. Fanny Gannett, born 28 JAN 1802.

Her Husband, Joseph Gannett, was a Private in the Revolutionary War, having served under Capt. Stephen Penneman's Co., Col. Frances Reg't; Massachusetts Troops.

After Abigail Cobb Gannett's death, her husband, Joseph Gannett, re-married to Sarah WHITE, nee Eaton, on 27 SEP 1804 in Sharon, Norfolk County, MA.

It should be noted that there is no actual record of her burial in this cemetery. I have placed her in this cemetery because her first born son, Johnathan alia Jonathan Gannett is buried in the same cemetery. I have done this to honor her memory, and to give her a final resting place.
