He departed this life at Cisne, III., Dec. 20, 1916, age 73 years, 8 mo., 2 days.
He was united In marriage to Clara Mickell, of Wayne Co., Ill., Nov. 21, 1857.
To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters, all of whom are still living.
Bro. Trago confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized In early life and lived a faithful consistent Christian life until called home. He enlisted in the Union Army at 18 years of age and served three years and three months In Company K,111, Illinois and was with Gen. Sherman on the march through the South.
He was always a member of the Church of Christ and was an early member of the Cisne Church, his pastor always expected and found Bro. Trago al his post.
He leaves to mourn his departure his aged companion, two sons, I. O., of Flora, and John F., of Cisne, three daughters, Mrs. Laura M. Phillips, of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Mary A. Phillips and Mrs. Ella N. Moore, of Cisne, Ill., fourteen grandchildren and eight great grand children: two brothers, Buckley, of Colorado, George, of Springfield, Mo., four sisters, Mrs. Mollie Ward, of Long Beach, Cal., Mrs. Ollle Milem, of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Emma Heyworth, of Colorado, Mrs. Malinda Smith, of Mo., besides a host of friends.
Uncle Park, as he was familiarly called, had no enemies, was always cheerful and If he could not say a good word about any one or the community, he said nothing. He set a worthy example before all and we could well pattern after him.
