Thelma V. Coles, 57, 1030 13th Street, died at 10:12 a.m. Saturday at Bartholomew County Hospital after an illness of several years.
She was a motor route carrier for the Republic for about seven years. Serving the Columbus-to-Edinburgh highway area.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Armstrong at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home where persons may call fro 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of the services. burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mrs. Coles was born Aug 3, 1924 in Bartholomew County to Grover and Blanche Shafer Hurley. She was married to Harold Coles Oct 27, 1944, he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Linda Williams of 434 Fairview; six sisters, Mrs. William L. Howard of Richmond, Freda Tovey of Shelbyville, Mrs Carl Drury of Beech Grove, Pauline McKinney of 2341 Indiana, Mrs. Ray Scherer of De Soto, Mo., and Mrs. James Percifield of 336 Fairview and one grandchild.
