Dale Elton Griffen, age 91, died peacefully at the home of his daughter on Monday, February15, 2016. He was born February 3, 1925 in Warsaw NY to the late Edmund and Leona Griffen. Dale was devoted to his family. He celebrated 69 Valentine Days with his wife, Carolyn Griffen and is also survived by his children, Stephen (Carol) Griffen, Jeff (Lory) Griffen, and Stacy (Mussaret) Zuberi; grandchildren, Todd (Jess) and Michael Griffen, Jacob (Ashley), Jahan, Jenna, and Joelle Zuberi; and great-grandson, Landon Griffen. Dale was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He worked for Ohio Bell for 37 years as District Manager. In retirement, Dale enjoyed volunteering at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. Memorial contributions in Dale's name may be made to the American Heart Association Ohio Valley Affiliate, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214.
