Ada Marie Burnett married Leo Gentry Moore. They did not have children.

Ada Marie Moore, 88, second daughter of Franklin Craven Burnett and Ellen Genevra Deason Burnett, was born Aug. 3, 1917, near Licking. She died March 18, 2006, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

She attended grade school in Fellows, Calif. In 1926, she moved back to Licking and attended Bethlehem grade school near Licking. She graduated from Licking High School in 1937.

She worked for Trimfoot Shoe Co. in St. Louis and Farmington.

She married Leo Gentry Moore May 24, 1947. They lived at Farmington and later moved to Waynesville.

Mrs. Moore worked at the Post Exchange at Fort Leonard Wood and was secretary for the Waynesville School District for 26 years. After retirement, she was treasurer for the City of Waynesville and volunteered as a contact for the Older Adults Transportation Service of Pulaski County.

She moved to Licking 12 years ago. Her hobbies were gardening, crocheting, knitting, sewing, traveling and collecting antiques. She had written a biography about herself. She was especially fond of children, entertaining them in her home at Waynesville and Licking.

She united with the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church near Flat many years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 25, 1974; her parents; sisters. Ruth Burnett Faerber and Maxine Burnett Cavaness; and brother, Gene Burnett.

Surviving are two sisters, Catherine Ogle and Frankie Lee Hadley.

Services were March 21 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery.
