"BITNER FUNERAL TODAY
The funeral services of Isaac Bitner, age 75 years, a veteran of the civil war, who died at Carthage Tuesday evening, were held this morning at ten o'clock at the Fletcher M. E. church, with the Rev. A. Ericksson in charge. Burial took place at Walnut Ridge. He was a member of Company G, Sixteenth Indiana Volunteer regiment and was in engagements at Richmond, Arkansas Post, Gaines Bluff and the Siege of Vicksburg."
