William Henry Armstrong, 80, died at 7:50 AM Wednesday, April 6, 1994, in Cy Fair Hospital, Houston, TX, where he had been a patient three months. Born May 21, 1913, at Crawfordsville, he had lived in the Lafayette area since 1921, moving to Texas in June 1991. He was married to Lena M. Modesitt on June 16, 1935, at Kentland, IN.; she died July 30, 1984.

Mr. Armstrong was a car salesman at Defouw Chevrolet for 27 years, retiring in 1988. His hobby was fishing.

Surviving are a daughter, Billie Ruth (Mrs. Cletis) Smith of Houston, TX, with whom he had made his home before entering the hospital; a sister, Mrs. Dortha Douglas of Santa Monica, CA; a grandson, Cletis Robert Smith; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother and sister.
