LIVINGSTON - A service to celebrate the life of Fred Lee Aylor was held on Saturday, April 19, 2003, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Dr. Don Willis officiating. Burial followed in Peebles Cemetery. Mr. Aylor, 93, died on Monday, April 14, in Presbyterian Village North in Dallas. He was the third child born to his parents, Fred Lee Aylor Sr. and Theresa Papst Aylor, in Orchard on Dec. 30, 1909. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lettie Peebles Aylor; sister, Bertha Aylor Newman; three brothers, Howard, Walter and Leslie Aylor and one great-grandchild, Anthony David Abrahamson. Mr. Aylor worked most of his life in the Geophysical Department of Continental Oil Company. He joined its second field crew in November 1932 and retired in September 1973. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn Aylor Hodge and George Lowrance Hodge of Dallas; one sister and brother, Marjorie Aylor Hayes of Alvin and Albert Aylor of Pasadena; grandchildren, Kathryn Hodge Abrahamson and hus-band William G.
