Mrs. Cook was born on February 20, 1864 at Enterprise, Illinois a daughter of James Clark and Ann (Pettijohn) Gunion.
She married John William Cook on August 31, 1887 at Lilly, Illinois. He died December 6, 1942.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alta Mae Smith of Mackinaw, Illinois; two sons Clarence Elmer Cook of Morton, Illinois; and Amer William Cook of Washington, Illinois; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook was the last of a family of eight and was a member of one of the oldest pioneer families of Mackinaw, Illinois.
She and her husband had made their home in Mackinaw, Illinois for 33 years before moving to Morton, Illinois 29 years ago.
