August 10, 1927 - February 11, 2016
Passed away at home peacefully in the presence of family in Santa Rosa, California. Previous long-time resident of San Francisco, where he owned and operated a barber shop for many years.
Mike was born and raised in Shanghai, China to Nathan and Sarah Aronovsky, natives of Kiev, Russia. Emigrated to San Francisco by way of Haifa, Israel. Korean War veteran. Fluent in several languages. Avid photographer. Lover of classical music, whose sounds often filled the family home.
Survived by his adored wife of 60 years. Loving and devoted father and proud grandfather.
Survived by brother and preceded in death by brothers George and Aron (Millie - dec.). Caring brother-in-law. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mike's greatest love was for his family. He was a valued friend whose warmth, kindness, and gentle wit touched all who knew him. He is missed terribly.
Private services were held at Eternal Home Cemetery.
