Abram was the youngest chold of Peter and Regine Deyerle. After his fathers death, he took over his tavern. Its is said that sometime in 1830-1831 a delegation of Native Americans came thru the area and took sick with Yellow Fever. Abram cared for them at great risk to himself. He never caught the sickness, but, developed a fever soon after and died. Its is believed that he, his wife, father, and mother are all buried in unmarked graves.
