He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kaye Gibson Chittum; one daughter, Megan Nicole Chittum of Ruckersville, Va.; three sons, Alan "A.J." Chittum Jr. and wife, Christine Carter, Justin Cole Chittum and Kyle Tyler Chittum, all of Ruckersville, Va.; two brothers, Hunter Chittum Jr. and wife, Gloria, of Buena Vista, Va., and Sheldon "Chip" Chittum and wife, Faye, of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Betty Bell of Laurel, Md. and Cindy Cameron and husband, Landon, of Glasgow, Va.; two grandchildren, Adaisha Kenzie Kerley and Kameron Phillip Chittum.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison with interment in Madison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 1 until 2 p.m.
