Josephine O. Pierce, 88, Leavenworth, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Broadway Heights in Leavenworth. She was born Nov. 3, 1914, in Hampton, MO., the daughter of Otho and Lillie Blankenship Offutt. On Jan. 18, 1939, she married Charles Pierce. He preceded her in death. She was a secretary of Great Western Manufacturing in Leavenworth. She was retired. Josephine was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Leavenworth.
She is survived by her daughter, Corliss Fox, Leavenworth; a son, Steven Pierce, State College, PA.; and four grandchildren, Douglas Fox,, Jeffrey Fox, Katie Pierce and Erin Pierce. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5, 2003, at the Davis funeral Chapel, Leavenworth. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Leavenworth, KS 66048, or the donor's choice.
