Jack Blanchard was a native of the small community of Pointe Noire, Louisiana, just outside Church Point. He moved to Texas with his wife Edna and daughter Joyce some time in the mid to late 1930s. Jack died of a heart attack at a fairly young age. His widow and daughter remained in the Houston area until the early 1980s when they moved back to Louisiana.
All three headstones were purchased at the time of Jack's death, with Jack's bearing the inscription "Daddy" and Edna's bearing "Mother." Also, Jack was a nickname. His birth name was a French name, something along the lines of Ariole. I haven't been able to track down anything related to his birth because Louisiana did not require birth certificates state-wide until 1918, thirteen years after his birth.
