Funeral services for Mrs. Helen I. Caraway, age 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Springhill, LA with Rev. G. R. Collier officiating. A eulogy will be given by Harold Gene Morgan. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts Cemetery, Dalby Springs, TX under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Caraway was born June 3, 1928 to Jonas Hampton and Bertie Lee Mills Fish in Sarepta, LA and passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Taylor, AR. She was a lifelong resident of this area and a faithful member of the First Assembly of God church. She was a retired employee of the LAAP with 34 years of service and was a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy C. McCullen and husband, Keith; son, Don Caraway and wife, Marilyn; sister, Gloria Carter and husband, Jimmy; brother, Donald Fish and wife, Billie, all of Sarepta, LA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Von Fish and wife, Kelly of LaPlace, LA and a number of other nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Caraway was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Caraway; son, Jimmy Caraway; her parents; brothers, Doyle Fish, David Fish and sister, Mary Alexander.
