Anne M. Roper, age 101, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in New York City, New York, on January 8, 1915, daughter of the late Arthur Edgar and Millicent Annie (Woodhouse) Roper.

Anne was baptized in the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Brumley Baptist Church.

She worked as a manager at Sears for 14 years until her retirement in 1977.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Brenda Bernard and husband Andy of Oklahoma; two step-grandsons, Mike Moore and wife Charolette of Iberia and Bruce Moore and wife Lisa of Camdenton; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Virgie Richards of Iberia.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur Richards in 2003 and Robert Richards in 2011.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, at Gott Cemetery in Ulman. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Miller County Nursing Home.
