DEATH RECORD
BRUCE - At 121 Lime avenue, Saturday evening, William Bruce, age 52[sic] years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons. All of whom left with the body Sunday evening for their home at Cherry Station, Arizona, where interment will take place. Mr. Bruce had only been here two weeks.
The following news item incorrectly gives the initials of his wife, Sarah Frances, however it confirms the above death notice.

Mr. S. F. Bruce Dead
Mr. S. F. Bruce, a pioneer horseman of the Verde, died at Long Beach, California, Last Saturday.
Mr. Bruce was injured while doing some construction work on the range several weeks ago, but it was not thought to be serious, but this injury, coupled with one received about a year ago when thrown from a horse, resulted in his death.
The remains were taken back to his old home near Camp Verde for interment.

The Yavapai Co., Arizona index card for the birth record of Hazel Bell Bruce gives her father's middle name as Drummond.
