RITES HELD FOR MRS. AMY PARNELL
Well Known Blue River Township Resident Dies Sunday Morning After Brief Illness

Mrs. Mary Amy Parnell, well known and highly esteemed resident of Blue River township, died Sunday morning. Her death occurred at the Land Nursing Home in Morristown several days after she suffered a paralytic stroke at her home. She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Parnell was born in Hancock County and lived all of her life in the house where she was born. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Mary Bundy Jessup. She was a birthright member of the Western Grove Friends Meeting and was a member of the Western Grove Woman's Club and a member of the Greenfield Friends Meeting.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Powers, Route 1, Greenfield, and Mrs. Mae Campbell, Miami, Fla.: three grandchildren, Bertha Mae Orr. Amy Roney and Harriett Briles; and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, James H. Parnell, died in 1936 and a son, Ward F. Parnell, died in 1935.

Funeral services were held at the Pasco Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Wilbur Beeson officiating. Burial was made In Park Cemetery.
