William Henry Richardson was born in Anson County, North Carolina. He is the Son of Jonathan Bryant and Martha Richardson. His family moved to Cherokee County, Alabama where he met and married his wife Mary Ann Thomas. They had 14 Children. He served for nearly three years in Company G, 19th Alabama Infantry. He raised his family in Alabama and on the Georgia line. William and a lot of the Richardson's then moved their families to Texas in about 1885. They moved to Texas in a covered wagon around 1885. They settles their families in the Fannin and Lamar Counties. William died in Lamar County, Texas but he was buried in Dial Cemetery in Dial, Fannin, Texas. His Military Headstone had been stolen and dumped in a creek nearby, but was recovered in 2016 and returned to the family who placed in the Cemetery. William's wife Mary and several of his Children and family Members are also buried in Dial Cemetery.
