Dec 2nd, 1842. At church meeting, chose brother Norwood Beverage and Samuel Brown Deacons of this church. Heard the experiences of Asa Dyer, Horatio Brown, Samuel Calderwood, Andrew Grant, Duran [Dury] Brown, Hannah Dyer, Rachel Crabtree. Received them as candidates for baptism. Dec 3rd, 1842. Ethel Lindsey, Horatio Brown, Asa Dyer, Andrew Grant, Hannah Lindsey, Rachel Crabtree were baptized and added to the church record. James Thomas, Church Clerk.

Novr 5, 1843: Dismissed Rachel Crabtree from this church to join the Baptist Church in Lowell, James Thomas, Church Clerk. Baptist Church Records, North Haven. With this record, it appears that Rachel removed to Lowell, Mass, for a time before her marriage.

To secure plaintiff's statute lien for labor and materials furnished by Plaintiff for erecting and finishing said dwelling house by virtue of a contract with said King, the owner thereof and within five days after said attachment, I filed in the office of the clerk of the town of North Haven aforesaid an attested copy of so much of my return on this writ as relates to the attachment of said dwelling house with a statement of the Sheriff. Property which I am by said writ commanded to attach the names of the parties, the date of the writ, and the court to which it is returnable, and on the second day of Jan'y 1860, I summoned the within named King by giving him a summons in hand for his appearance in Court. In a letter by John W Beverage to George or Ezekiel Beverage, dated 12 Sep 1869: There has been a trace of Indians to the Thoroughfare this summer. And among the rest there was one that liked rum and Mr. Lewis sold them what rum he wanted. And he got drunk and the Indian's brother did not like it. He caught Mr. Lewis in his rum shanty and he went in and give him a pounding. Mr Lewis was well satisfied that he got well pounded.

In a letter written by Hannah (Crockett) Alexander to son Ezekiel Alexander dated 10 Feb 1870:...Oliver Lewis was over to Polly Carver's and he had his horse there. He had been hauling out wood so one Sunday night somebody went and set fire to the barn and it burnt the barn down, horse and all...:
