Death Takes C.J. Porter At Age 54
Charles J. Porter, 54, of 609 Cross St., Lodi, died Tuesday morning in a San Francisco hospital following a short illness. A native of Iowa, he came to Lodi in 1948 and was employed for the last 15 years as a member of the American Federation of Grainmillers Union No. 59 of Lodi. He belonged to the First Congregational Church.
Mr. Porter is survived b his wife, Irene Porter of Lodi; three daughters, Mrs. Karen Kammerer of Acampo, Mrs. Lenice Reese of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Mrs. Sydney Woltkamp of Lodi, and two grandchildren, Robert Kammerer and Steven Woltkamp.
Additional survivors include two brothers, George Porter of Silverdale, Wash., and Vilmer Porter of Englewood, and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Dalavan of Glenwood, Iowa.
