Memorial services for Rhonda Lynn Hampton, MS, CCC-SLP, 53, of Pollok, will be held at Clawson Assembly of God. Inurnment services will be in the Gann Cemetery.
Rhonda was born March 9, 1962 in Longview, Texas. She passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at M. D. Anderson Hospital.
On April 4, 1980, Rhonda married Steve Hampton. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1980. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1999 to 2006 and graduated with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2006.
She was a loving mother, wonderful wife, and treasured daughter. She enjoyed camping, gardening, the beach, fishing, horseback riding and collecting rocks. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog Benji. She was a courageous lady and fought a long, hard battle. She never complained and trusted God to take care of her. She was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Hampton; daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Adren Anglin; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Regina Hampton; daughter and son-in-law, Lacey Lynn and Colby Crawford; mother, Mary Beth Gingery and Larry (father) of Ohio; 5 grandchildren; sister, Renee Fox; sister and brother-in-law, Wendalyn "Wendy" and Keith Weitzel; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Allen; and brother, John Glen Gingery.
