Mrs. Janie Rebecca Shaffer, 73, of 628 Whittington Road, died Monday, June 25, 1990, at home after a long illness. She was a Baptist and a lifelong resident of Kanawha Valley. Surviving: sons, Allen and Jack, of Sissonville; sister, Julia Thomas of Sissonville; three grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Burdette officiating. Burial will be in John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
