Mr. Wright, a lawyer, was the widower of noted feminist and abolitionist Martha Coffin Wright, who predeceased him in 1875, and the father of Eliza Wright Osborne, also active in women's rights causes. His grandchildren include the noted prison reformer Thomas Mott Osborne and the diplomat Lithgow Osborne. After his death at age 80, Mr. Wright was buried next to his wife in the family plot of his son-in-law, manufacturer David M. Osborne.
