Surviving are a brother, the Rev. Anselm Boeke, Piqua, and a brother-in-law, Leo Hess, Carthagena.

Deceased are five brothers, Linus, Edmund, the Rev. Leo, Victor and Clement, and three sisters, Sister Mary Euthalia, Sister Adele and Viola Hess.

He was ordained June 28, 1941, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Norwood. His pastoral assignments included: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dayton, 1941-1943; St. Leo , Cincinnati, 1943-1945; St. Matthew Catholic Church, Norwood, 1945-1950; St. William Catholic Church, Cincinnati, 1950-1953; Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney, 1953-1958; St. Mary Catholic Church, Camden, and St. Augustine Catholic Church, Germantown, 1958-1964; St. Mary Catholic Church, Springfield, 1964-1975; and St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, 1975-1990. He retired to St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, in 1990 and went into full retirement at St. Charles Center June 6, 1998.

Funeral Mass was at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Cassella, Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarszyk officiating.
