He was in Co. D. 3rd Regiment of Missouri Volunteers. Birth and Death dates and locations also taken from this source. Place of death subject to revision.

He was mustered into service May 28, 1847 at St. Louis, Mo. There is a note about leaving sick at Fort Leavenworth, and his Discharge at Santa Fe, New Mexico on Aug. 23, 1848 by expiration of service (this document attached).
