John Chandler Kimbel, age 82, of Ten Mile, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 3, 1933 in Ten Mile and has been a lifelong resident of Roane County.

He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and also founder of Tri-State Auction & Reaity Company where he had worked as an Auctioneer for over 35 years.

John was a lifetime member of National Auctioneers Association & Certified Appraisers Institute.

Prior to his auction business, John ran a lumber mill for 25 years. In his spare time he enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

Preceded in death by his parents, Hundley & Reba Crabtree Kimbel; son, Wayne Kimbel; daughter, Regina Kimbel; son-in-law, David White; brother, Lewis Kimbel; halfbrothers, Hundley Kimbel, Jr. and Robert Kimbel sister-in-law, Louise Wyrick; brother-in-law, Larry Johnson.

The family will receive friends 2:00 – 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church with funeral service following at 4:00 pm, with Rev. Adrian Jones officiating.

Interment will follow at Edgemon Cemetery. The family request memorials be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 4242 Decatur Highway, Kingston, TN 37763. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangement
