Elaine E. Dunse, age 79, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born in Troy Township, Sauk County, on January 5, 1934, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Mabel (Fuchs) Anderson.

She was united in marriage to William Dunse on April 23, 1960 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Black Hawk. Elaine was a lifelong member of Harrisburg Homemakers and later the Witwen Homemakers. She was involved with the Head Start Bookworm Program and a lifelong member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Elaine loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; five children, Ellen (Reid) Patterson, Sheri Dunse, Mike (Maria) Dunse, Sue (Randy) Hoege and Lori Teasdale; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Spencer, Melissa (friend, Jimmy Hooker) Patterson, Rebecca (Katelyn Clark) Patterson, Laura (friend, Ricky Morales) Dunse, Krista Dunse, Taylor Hoege and Brandon Hoege; a great-grandson, Drew Spencer; a great-grandchild expected any day; brother-in-law, Russell Steinhorst; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Steinhorst, and a niece, Dorene Pagel.

A funeral service will be held at BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Black Hawk, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 with Pastor Kendall Schlittler officiating. Burial will follow in Black Hawk Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, 251 Water St., Sauk City, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
