Lee Roy was born September 19, 1926 in Beaver, LA and was a graduate of Pine Prairie High School.


He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a seaman onboard the USS Pensacola.


He moved to Lake Charles in 1948. He retired from Exxon after thirty-two years of service as a petroleum transport driver. Lee Roy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as a former Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of the VFW and the Lake Charles C.B. Club, where everyone knew him as "Tiger." He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife and enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden. Lee Roy also was an avid woodworker who enjoyed making porch swings and gliders, but his greatest joy was his family.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Dupin) Douget; daughters, Janet (Douget) Guillory and Barbara "Dee Dee" (Douget) Welch; parents, Paul and Frances Douget; sisters, Addie Campbell and Beulah Martin; and brother, Gilbert Douget.


His memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow the service.
