MRS. NETTIE BOWIE Mrs. Nettie Coleman Bowie, 75, of 119 Crescent Rd., wife of Frank O. Bowie, died July 30, 1992 at Self Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late George Lundy and Kitty Polattie Coleman. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and was formerly employed by Griffin's Jewelers for many years and retired from Thayer's Gift Shop. She was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church and the Reapers Sunday School Class. Surviving, in addition to her husband of the home, are a daughter, Janis Bowie Goldsmith of Greenville; a son, Coleman F. Bowie of Greenwood; two sisters, Helen C. Aiton of Greenwood and Louana C. Skinner of Greenville; a brother, Aller D. Coleman of Laurens; and a granddaughter. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at South Main Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Ryan Eklund officiating. Entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Earl Aiton, Burton Ott, Myron Stockman, Jim Coleman, Gary Coleman, Larry Coleman and Bob Harrison. The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Main Street Baptist Church, South Main Street, Greenwood, S.C. 29646. The family is at the home in Kimbrook.
