Robert A. “Bob” Brown, 88 of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Waxahachie. He was born to the late James Thomas Brown and Cora Amanda Mercer Brown on August 17, 1924 in Venus, Texas.
Bob was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake house with his wife, Lorene, who preceded him in death. Bob enjoyed singing and sang many songs at church services and funerals over the years. Bob loved eating at IHOP, playing Bridge with his Men’s Club and going gambling. He proudly served our country, serving in the United States Army. Bob will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his step son, Dan Henry and his wife, Mary Jane of Waxahachie; his step daughters, Kay Luttrell and her husband, Don of Kopperl, Peggy Jackson of Plano, Cindy Curtis of McKinney and all of their children and grandchildren.
Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
