Gladys E. Coble, 92, passed away on February 1, 2016. Gladys was born on September 15, 1923 in Graham, Oklahoma to William and Maggie (Ogletree) Briscoe.

Gladys loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. After her husband Bill retired, they spent 20 years traveling. She and Bill spent their winters in Texas. Gladys kept her flower beds looking immaculate because she enjoyed being outside. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially sewing children’s clothing and crocheting.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” H. Coble; daughter, Sandra Lemons (Don); and 9 siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Janna Baber; grandchildren, Jamin Baber and wife Rashea, Lasha Claborn and husband Ryan, and Raina Leckie and husband John; great-grandchildren, Ian Leckie, Jaxon William “Brody” Claborn, Brilyn and Micah Baber; and brother, Dewey Briscoe.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Meadowood Baptist Church with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
