LeAnn Curtis Sorensen was born February 28, 1942 in Rupert, Idaho to Burdell and Norma Curtis.

After struggling with her health for the past five years, LeAnn passed away in her sleep, peacefully at home.

LeAnn married Tom Sorensen on November 23, 1966. Together, they raised Christian Derek and Heidi Sorensen.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Burley High School, attended the University of Utah and Henager Business College. She worked as a secretary for Tracy Collins Bank in Salt Lake City.

LeAnn was the most expensive, appreciated, and loved free-help known to mankind at Mountain Dell Golf Course for over thirty years.

LeAnn loved making baby blankets and burp cloths and was known for her expertise in embroidery. Sew Right was her favorite social club. Her stitching was not just a hobby, it was her passion. Her burp cloths have been sent to orphanages all over the world.

She was meticulous in her work, making sure the front, back, and stitching coordinated perfectly. If she made a mistake, she would take the whole thing apart and start over. She was also known for her beautiful penmanship. She loved the Oregon Coast, especially Cannon Beach.

LeAnn's best qualities were her gift of gab and quick wit. She loved to talk with everyone, including strangers who would tell her their life stories. LeAnn enjoyed the phone calls she received as she served as the East Millcreek Ward Building Coordinator.

LeAnn will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

LeAnn is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Heidi; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; sisters, Jean (Robert) Hamblen and Lynn Logan; grandchildren, Tom (Whitney), Jeff (Liz), Marissa, and Annie; and three great-granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Chris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. in the East Millcreek Seventh Ward Chapel, 3408 South Celeste Way (3120 East), East Millcreek.
