Peaceful be thy silent slumber,
Peaceful in the grave so low,
Thou no more will join our number,
Nor our joys and sorrows know.

Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of life is fled;
In a fairer land to greet thee,
Where no farewell tears are shed.

Thou hast gone from earth to heaven
And for thee our heart doth yearn,
We can go to thee in glory,
Thou canst not to us return.

Let us all be ever faithful
To the tasks to us assigned,
So that when His summons call us,
None of us is left behind.
