ALBERT J. "BUD" DE GRASSE 3d, 69, of Westmont, died Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden.
Mr. De Grasse worked as a pressman for W.B. Saunders Co., of Cherry Hill , a medical book publishing company, for 27 years before retiring in 1983. He was a parishioner of St. John's Church in Collingswood, and a member of Santa Maria Knights of Columbus Council No. 1443 of Westmont. He was a catcher in the Camden County Semi-Pro Baseball League in the early 1940s, and later played for Joe Cerzimo in the Haddon Heights League. He was an umpire for the Independent Umpires Association from 1946 to 1950. Mr. De Grasse was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors: his wife, Marion Durham De Grasse; a son, Albert J. 4th of Tequesta, Fla.; a daughter, Penny Kennedy of Moorestown; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marie Schuele.
Services: viewing, 9 a.m. today, Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Ave., Collingswood; Mass, 10 a.m. today, St. John's Church, Park and Lees Avenues, Collingswood; burial, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill .
