Died. In Henry Township, Ottawa County, Kansas, March 5th, 1888, Mrs. Eliza A. wife of John Stonecypher. Eliza A. Harman was born in Pennsylvania, April 1837, and was married to John Stonecypher in May, 1858.

She united with the M.E. Church in youth and at her death was a member of the Evangelical Church.

She removed with her husband from Pennsylvania to this county in 1887, and had won many friends, to whom the tiding os her sudden death brought a sense not only of sorrow but of true loss.

Wednesday, March 7th at ten o'clock, many of her friends and neighbors gathered at her late residence to pay their last respects to their beloved associate, and to sympathize with her husband, daughter and relatives in their bereavement.

Devotional service was conducted by Rev. McDowell, and her remains interred in the new cemetery.

There is a void in our household
Of one smiling face
A face that is engraved on our hearts.
There is none in this world
That form can replace.
No heart that such faithful love imparts.
But she has gone to the bright land of rest,
She has gone with the angels to remain;
And how sweet it will be
In that home of the blest
To meet her and greet her again.
