Mrs. Mazie Egan Conahan, was a lifelong area resident. Until retiring, she was a long distance operator for the former New York Telephone Co. During World War II, Mrs. Conahan was a phone operator at the Army Depot. She also worked at the Department of Social Services and was a typist and office worker at the County Republican Office and the state Department of Motor Vehicles, Albany. Mrs. Conahan was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Her husband, James P. Conahan, died in 1981. Survivors include a daughter; a sister, Ruth Serrell of Scotia; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
