The remains of little Mary Keeran Coleman, the twelve year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom A. Coleman, of this city, arrived in the city this morning. The child was instantly killed last evening on a public road between Encinal and Atlee. The body was accompanied to this city by Mr. and Mrs. Coleman.
The child, accompanied, by her sister, had been to Encinal to get the mail for their parents and were returning to Atlee, where the parents were residing when the accident, that resulted fatally, occurred.
The pony which was being ridden by Mary Coleman was going in a gallup when it collided with a cow lying in the road, causing the pony to stumble. The child was thrown to the ground, the horse falling upon her, causing immediate death.
The funeral will take place tomorrow and interment will be in the Alamo Masonic cemetery.
