Donald C. “Donnie” Tyre, 63, of Jesup, Georgia died Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Memorial Health and University System in Savannah, Georgia after an extended illness. The Virginia native had lived in Wayne County, Georgia most of his life and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Jesup, Georgia. He was a retired electrician with IBEW out of Savannah who was a motorcycle enthusiast, classic rock fan, enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife, Annette Holland Tyre; parents, Mayroe Linwood and Helen Pittman Tyre.

Survivors are his daughters, Stephanie Tyre of Jesup, Monica (Geoff) Abarr of Hampton, Bobbie (John) Kenney of McDonough; son, Brian (Christine) Clem of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; sister, Jennifer (Jerry Wayne) Warren of Jesup; brother, Kenneth (Judy) Tyre of Helena, Alabama; 12 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Jesup, Georgia with Elder Wayne Broadhead officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service at the church.
