Catherine Eva Foote (Kay) Ameigh, 82, passed away at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Hospital in Towanda, where she has been a resident, early Thursday morning, June 4, 2009. She was formerly of Elmira, N.Y., Gillett and Wyalusing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph West Ameigh.
She was born in Boston, Mass., on January 8, 1927 the daughter of the late Myron Stockholm and Jessie Ida Johnson Foote.
Surviving are two sisters:, Loretta Georgina Decker of South Grafton, Mass., and Ruth Ann Philbrook of Vinalhaven, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by six brothers: Robert Foote, Frank Foote, Dwayne Foote, Clinton Foote, Harry Foote and Walter Foote; and two sisters: Ann Blackstone and Ethel Erwin.
Interment in Brookside Cemetery, Franklin Forks, at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville.
