John was born in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut on December 27, 1694, the son of Samuel and Sarah Buck Deming. He married, in Lisbon, New London, Connecticut, on November 25, 1727, Elizabeth Perkins, widow of Rev. Daniel Buck. They were married by the Rev. Daniel Kirkland. John and Elizabeth had three children in Wethersfield and their last two supposedly in Preston, Connecticut. In March of 1743, John bought land in Norwich, New London, Connecticut and moved his family there. John and his wife died in the same month and year, January 1763, in Norwich. Their place of burial is unknown.
